It's harder to make a temporary track bed than you'd think - then again, building it on pebbles isn't ideal. The "tunnel" was a bit of old terracotta pipe that helped flatten out a fair bit, accompanied by lots of pushing pebbles about with my hands. It's fair to say that I put a lot into making this basic oval, most of it being bits of finger.
I'd like to think that one day an oak grown from this acorn, but it's going to take time. A lot of time. And some cash. And some imagination, while we're at it.
Anyway, this is the original Bomb-on-Wheels. It has already flung itself off the track after cornering on two wheels - sadly, the cameraman missed this while trying to stop his guard's van from getting scratched.
It's accompanied by the old static engine I've had for some time. First run after more than two years in storage.
