People getting stuck in odd places appears to be quite common in China, but animals are now doing it too, as a herd of elk have made the news for getting trapped in a canal.
Footage has emerged from Jiangsu of 32 of the large animals being rescued by local police.
The video, captured on Wednesday, shows the group walking in the canal, before using a ramp built by the officers to climb out.
According to local media reports, it took nearly a whole day for the authorities to rescue the elk, which are nationally protected animals. It was the second time a group of elk have got stuck this month.
