Peru: IMF and World Bank Talk Climate and Growth

The International Monetary Fund and World Bank ended their second day of meetings in Lima, Peru on Friday. IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde said that the institution is pushing for growth in view of a slowdown in the global economy. She also favors the adoption of a tax to combat climate change amid criticisms of the World Bank’s poor record in implementing environmental safeguards. teleSUR
