Steve Jobs’ death anniversary: Apple CEO’s email to staff
  • 9 years ago
On the fourth death anniversary of Apple's late co-founder Steve Jobs, the company's CEO Tim Cook has sent an email to the staff.
In the email, Cook remembers Jobs as a visionary, a mentor and a friend and talks about his legacy in Apple and its products. He also calls on new staff members to ask their older colleagues about how Jobs was really like. The email was first published by The Telegraph.
Jobs passed away after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer in 2011 at the age of 56. He founded Apple in 1976 with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Jobs also co-founded and was CEO of Pixar Animation Studios, after he left Apple in 1985. Pixar was later acquired by Disney. Jobs joined Apple again in 1996 after the company acquired his venture NeXT, and became the CEO in 1997.
