Pope Francis' address to the UN General Assembly and UN Sustainable Development Summit was a milestone for the world body on multiple levels. Of particular significance was the Pontiff's message of social justice and condemnation of inequality. He told the assembled world leaders that they must prevent environmental destruction, eradicate poverty, end the drug and sex trade, and ban nuclear weapons.
