Hazrat Mahdi (as) Will Not Say “I Am Mahdi”, But “I Am Merely His Helper”

ADNAN OKTAR: This hadith is mentioned in the work of Imam al-Suyuti, Hadiths from Jalaluddin al-Suyuti's Classification, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi Akhir az-Zaman, Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, p. 61. And he says, “I am merely one of his helpers.” That is all. He says, “I have no claims to be the Mahdi.” They say, “But you bear all the signs,” and “we are sure, you are the Mahdi.” He says, “No. That is not the case.” And it says, “He conceals.” Then, “They find him again.” It says, “He moves at a distance, but they find him again.” “Then he moves far, and they find him again.” They insist by saying, “You are the Mahdi.” And, “He does not accept this insistently.” And finally they say, “If you do not protect us against the army of the Sufy
