Some 200 residents gathered at the entrance to Rawang new village in a successful last-ditch bid to stall the construction of high tension cable towers by Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB).
万挠村民今早展开三月围村保卫战，200名村民一早聚集在村口举行，封堵多条主要入村道路，阻止国能入村拆屋，建设有害人体健康的高压电缆。由妇孺老幼组成的村民除了在路口摆放铲泥机阻挡之外，也选择集体就地静坐，誓以肉身捍卫家园。
