How do you prepare physically for ESA's underground astronaut training course in minimal time with limited resources? Instructor Antonio Bellu developed a 15-minute fitness routine that can be done anywhere to train the muscles you need when clambering over rocks deep underground.

This video includes all the exercises to used in the eight week leading to the astronaut training course. For more information visit the CAVES blog:

This training is a return to the past, with innovation. Inspired by crossfit, MMA and core training.

CAVES stands for Cooperative Adventure for Valuing and Exercising human behaviour and performance Skills. The two-week course prepares astronauts to work safely and effectively in multicultural teams in an environment where safety is critical – in caves.
