Ahmad Maslan flees waiting pressmen

One day after a botched event in which over a hundred "former DAP members" failed to cross over to the BN, Umno information chief Ahmad Maslan went out of his way to "flee" from Malaysiakini and KiniTV journalists who were waiting for him at a BN function in Kampung Padang Tembak Dalam, Teluk Intan. He even crossed a drain to escape the reach of the press.

He was earlier alerted by a man, presumably one of the BN members, about the presence of Malaysiakini and KiniTV journalists while giving a speech. The Pontian MP surprised the crowd by reading the note out loud: "Malaysiakini is recording (your) speech."
