A powerboat racer cheated death when he crashed at more than 130mph on the same lake where speed king Donald Campbell died.
Adrenaline junkie Keith Whittle had just set a new record for his Formula 2 class boat when he flipped and hurtled through the air on Coniston Water in the Lake District. His 200hp boat named Pepstar somersaulted one-and-a- half times before landing top-down on the water.
