Spectacular footage emerged on Monday of lava pouring down the slope of Stromboli Volcano into the Mediterranean sea.
The rare footage was captured by expert volcano photographer and videographer Martin Rietze on the 9th and 10th of August.
The clip begins by showing spectacular littoral explosions as the lava flows down the Sciara del Fuoco into the sea.
