The rising threat from Daesh has been examined in the context of Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan. Its repercussions on the Middle East, South Asia and the world in general have been examined. The lure of the Islamic State for young Muslims from Europe, USA and Australia has also been discussed. The way forward to check the rise of the Daesh has also been recommended.
