U.S. Has Always Claimed Hiroshima Bombing Was Necessary

On the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima, many still wonder why such a heinous crime was committed against innocent civilians. Exhibitions in Washington D.C. show the suffering of Japanese people. No one has ever been brought to justice for bombing 140,000 people to death. The United States has always said that the bombing was a necessity to end the war, but “this would be a war crime if anybody else had done it,” said the Director of the Ameridan University Museum.
