Yamaha's YZF-R3 Headed To India

Get ready for a big Yamaha launch later this month. As reports suggests the company is getting ready to launch its high-performance bike the YZF-R3 in India. The bike will be brought to India through the Completely Knocked Down route and assembly of it will be done in Yamaha’s Faridabad plant.
Powered by 321cc parallel twin engine, the YZF-R3 is one of the lightest bikes the company produces weighing only 170kg. Once launched, the YZF-R3 will face tough competition from like of Kawasaki Ninja 300 and KTM RC390.
It is being said that the decision to introduce the bike in India had been taken sometime at the end of last year and it had initially considered the YZF-R25 for the Indian market, but later decided in favour of the R3 for some reason unknown to all.
Although exact pricing of the YZF-R3 is still not known, it is expected to be priced competitively for the Indian market.
