How to Cover Up a Sunburn Without Irritating Your Skin
  • 8 years ago
Covering up a sunburn can be tricky; covering up a sunburn and not irritating your skin can feel almost impossible. There are a few things you can do, though, if you've felt the burn. Hydrate with the right moisturizer, for starters! Make sure to use one that doesn't have a bunch of acids that will irritate your skin. Lactic acid, though, is a good option that won't burn, but also helps gently exfoliate that dead skin.

You know this one: protect yourself with a nonirritating sunblock! Physical sunscreens are less irritating than chemical options. Look for ingredients like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to get the job done. And to help get rid of the redness, cover the burn with makeup that's gentle, like a mineral foundation.
