The best way to lose weight is eating a natural diet and staying on it. Your weight will revert to normal and all health problems will cease to exist by eating our original primate diet of fruit and veggies. 2nd best foods are grains and beans. If you still want meat after giving the body what it wants, eat meat(and any fats) at the end of the day.

Low-carb is unsustainable (exactly what you don't want) You regained the weight because "Low-carb / paleo" starves the body - so the body will store protective reserves(fat) when you fall off the wagon(WHEN)
