Bülent Sezgin: The Great Edirne Synagogue, one of the biggest synagogues of Turkey, was restored. It will be opened on 26th of March, insha’Allah. Ishak Ibrahimzade, the head of Turkish Jews Community said: ‘For the first time in my life, I will be attending a synagogue opening. Even if the time passed, and even if we don't live in Balat, Ortaköy, Galata, Kuzguncuk anymore, our synagogues are known. As our numbers diminish, so do our synagogues. For this reason, the opening of a synagogue that hasn't been used since 1983, is a very important milestone for us.
