July 19, 2014 was the #AscensionReunion event celebrated at The Hilton Garden Inn Town Center Virginia Beach where 70 attended for a night of fun, food, talk, singing, photo ops, dancing, and a moment of recalling our heyday of the 80's growing up! One year later, this video never before seen all together now with music memories that will forever remain in our thoughts and hearts. This video is dedicated to fellow 2014 attendee Joe Ubial 3/28/1969-12/20/2014. The other planning group, who this event resulted in the formation aftermath, had a successful Legacy Celebration on June 13, 2014. Realizing that both gatherings were rather more successful as separate events, it is those that attended in both events that needed these 3 takeaways: First, they bring friends and family members together. Second, they offer opportunities for friends and family to connect with one another again (even if they already see each other on a regular basis). Third, most importantly, they provide each person (and those that were not even there) the opportunity to share memories and values that will last a lifetime. I believe we succeeded in our missions and I thank everyone on behalf of each planning committee. This preserves fond memories, stories and, most importantly, relationships (old and new) that will last for generations. Given a chance, these celebrations provides everyone with important values, strong and lasting bonds, and a deep sense of belonging that they can pass on to the next generation. Peace.
