The DARPA Robotic Challenge Finals just took place in California, and the robots went above and beyond. Competing for a $2 million prize, teams put their robots through an obstacle course that simulated an emergency, and involved tasks such as walking over rubble, driving a car, tripping circuit breakers, and turning valves. So, would any of these robots be of any use in the case of an emergency? Not if a new viral video from the event is to be believed. Most of them fell down. A LOT.
