With the 5th generation of sonic wind sensors, LCJ Capteurs has manufactured and supplied more than 8000 sensors now in use all over the world.
“Our mission is to supply high quality ultrasonic wind sensors (vanes and anemometers) for marine use, with the following features: compact, light and energy efficient at the best price” said Christophe Michel, CEO of LCJ Capteurs.
Compatible and standardised air sensors
All LCJ Capteurs ultrasonic wind sensors can be directly connected to any equipment with normalized NMEA© input or a PC as well as any specialised equipment equipped with a common interface. They deliver wind direction, wind speed and wind temperature. The CV7 was nominated for the DAME award in 2013.
The range includes barometric sensors either embedded in the CanBus interface, or as a standalone plug and Play device called BaroPlug which received a special mention at DAME award in 2014.

Sensors for marine use distributed worldwide
LCJ Capteurs are available worldwide from a network of marine industry specialist dealers.
The main benefits of ultrasonic solid state wind sensors are:
– Light
– Compact
- Robust design – no moving parts
- Low electrical consumption
- Full calibration
- Shock resistant
- Resistant to wind gusts
- Resistant to bird attacks
- Long life time
- Repeatability of the measurements over the sensors lifetime
- Resilience to the gyroscopic effect
- Stability and sensitivity in light winds – lower speed measurements than mechanical sensors
– Small wind surface
- 2 Years guarantee (each unit comes with a quality check certification)
- Competitive pricing
