Two stops north from Mansfield Station is Canton Jct. Here the MBTA has their branch to Stoughton. Four platforms A, B, C, and D are used by over 60 Commuter trains, Platforms A and B are for the trains to Providence. C and D are for the Stoughton, the T has planned for a continued line to New Bedford and Fall River, but there has been no report of any constuction, although the tracks do contiune from Stoughton. If it's not the T you're interested in too much, Amtrak runs fast trains though platforms A and B. South of the station, trains cross a giant curved bridge spaning over a neighborhood of Canton.
Now for the trains. Tonight Acela Express train 2168 rounds the curve off the bridge. Then almost a minute after passing, the switches aline for 925 to Stoughton.
