In the world of Salsa it is very common for musicians, composers, arrangers and singers suelan be recognized by his stage name, rather than its name. Such is the case of Christopher Senquis Rivera, the salsa we honor this month on our website, known in the world of Salsa as "Kid Rivera" . Kid is an inexhaustible reservoir of natural singers of Puerto Rico. He was born on November 16, 1946 in the town of Guayama, the southeast of the island, and they come from Tite Curet Alonso , Elias Lopez and Frankie Figueroa. Vicenta son Senquis and Carmelo Rivera, spent his childhood in his hometown. He had its first interventions in music and playing conga drum, but at age 14 Alfonsito Pillot gave the opportunity to sing as an amateur, and "Kid" recognized that this was his calling.
