The band come packing with a whole arsenal of musical strengths, ranging from a basic command of how to put together a decent heavy metal riff to a solid grasp of neo-classicism and technical showmanship. Various influences including Helloween, Queensyrche, Accept, Dream Theater, Anubis Gate and several others phase in and out of all 3 of these songs, placing a dual emphasis on catchy songwriting and structural simplicity, two things that are often avoided in this style. The vocals put forth by Pete Morten are the principle draw, as he sounds like the ideal hybrid of Geoff Tate and Nils Rue, and brings a flair for harmonic vocal layering that rivals Oliver Hartmann’s giant sounding choirs with At Vance. But attention should not be taken from a solid lineup of musicians, each providing an invaluable part to a masterful whole that balances rhythmic precision with a dense keyboard atmosphere.
