Bolivia: Protesters Say New Right-Wing Mayor is Corrupt

Protests erupted in the Bolivian city of El Alto after city Mayor Soledad Chapeton announced her list of deputy mayors. Members of the Federation of Neighborhood Councils of El Alto say that the 12 officials she picked are corrupt. Those protesting the Mayor’s appointments are affiliated with Bolivian President Evo Morales and his Movement towards Socialism party. teleSUR
