Ayotzinapa Family Members Address Argentine Supporters.
The demand for the safe return of the 43 disappeared Ayotzinapa students was taken up by solidarity demonstrators in Argentina on Tuesday, who chanted: “They took them away alive, we want them back alive.” Speaking outside the heavily guarded Mexican Embassy in Buenos Aires, family members of the 43 students slammed the Mexican Ambassador for failing to come out and meet with them. They also made it clear that they do not trust the Mexican government’s explanation of what happened to their children and want real answers. They insist that their children are alive and they want them back safe and sound. While in Buenos Aires, the family members are meeting with people who suffered atrocities committed by the military dictatorship and who have been successful in putting former military officials on trial. The next stops on the tour are Montevideo, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Leo Poblete reports from Buenos Aires for teleSUR.
