Here is a short film about a group of cut-throat, TV soap opera actresses based on the play/movie, "The Women." I was asked to produce and direct a project that would allow a class of undergrads of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts acting program some camera time. This advanced class happened to be all female students. I borrowed a play that had all women characters and along with another writer, adapted it for a 10 week term project. We shot it in color but for some reason decided to keep render it in black & white. I think to give an old movie feel. All I can say is the DP took his name off it. Notice Allan Smythie credit. It was shot well though. Looking at it, I wish it was in color AND I had asked more from my actors. Live and learn!
