Paul Curtis, the man suspected of mailing a ricin-laced letter to the president, a US senator and a Mississippi state judge, has been released from jail after prosecutors dropped charges against him.
A letter addressed to President Barack Obama containing ricin, a highly dangerous toxin, was intercepted on April 16.

A search of Curtis' house turned up no incriminating evidence. Investigators say they are are now working from "new information," and have turned their attention to Everett Dutschke, setting up a mobile crime lab outside his house.
