Spiderman thief: Costumed bag snatcher makes off with $6,000

An evil Spiderman impersonator has evaded capture after snatching a paper bag containing about $6,000 in cash, along with credit card receipts, from a Hollywood bus tour company employee in broad daylight.

The robbery occurred shortly after 8 a.m. Friday on Hollywood Boulevard, an area frequented by tourists and the celebrity impersonators who entertain them. The Starline Tours worker was leaving a company office when the thief pounced, snatching the bag and running away before anyone was able to stop him.

Police questioned witnesses and a number of people who a description of the thief, but are yet to make an arrest.
