Little girl kidnapped by former teacher from elementary school in Mississippi

Jashayla Markiaya Hopson, a 6-year-old girl, was kidnapped from her elementary school in Mississippi.

Former school teacher Jesse Mae Brown Pollard has been arrested for the crime. Police think Pollard was motivated by a dispute she had with the little girl's mother.

Pollard allegedly sent another woman into East Kemper Elementary to get Jashayla. Then they kept her in a hotel overnight while they sent threatening messages to Jashayla's mother.

The next day Pollard allegedly dropped Jashayla on a rural road where the girl found help at a local home. Pollard was arrested at her home on Wednesday and was denied bond at a hearing.
