Man holds child hostage at knifepoint at Oklahoma Walmart

A Midwest City police officer shot dead a man after he grabbed a 2-year-old girl in the dairy section of a Walmart on Reno Avenue and held her at knifepoint, threatening to kill her. The ordeal took more than half an hour to resolve, with the officer shooting the man after he made unintelligible demands and started a countdown, at the end of which he said he would kill the child. The man succumbed to his gunshot wound while the little girl was unharmed and returned to her mother.
