Sexy selfies gets policewoman fired: Florida cop Penny Dane, mother of two and - as it turns out - internet sex fiend, has been sacked after an internal investigation turned up adult content on work computers.
Her use while on duty of online service Red Light Center, a kind of X-rated Second Life, and the nearly 300 erotic photos of her and her others found on work computers were too much for her real life superiors.
The Daytona Beach sergeant began using the virtual sex game back in 2009 on official department computers. She even went so far as to switch off her patrol car's GPS tracking and take adult photos in her police uniform while she was meant to be supervising junior officers.
Sergeant Dane met an online lover in the game and her lurid activities peaked in 2012. Things went pear-shaped when a sexual harassment complaint she filed against a colleague led to the discovery of her 274 adult images on work computers.
The 18-year veteran officer tried to justify her sexy dereliction of duty by saying she could "multi-task."
Her boss, police chief Mike Chitwood, described the photos as "extremely pornographic."
