Australian diplomat sues Taiwanese vet for not euthanizing his dog

A Taiwanese vet, Yang Dong-sheng, was sued for fraud by an Australian diplomat. The suit alleges that Yang didn't euthanize the diplomat's dog, Benji, after promising to do so.

Benji, who had a stroke, was taken to the vet by the diplomat's Filipino maid. Yang said the dog could be cured, but the maid said her boss insisted Benji should be put down. Yang took the money for euthanizing and cremating Benji, but he didn't go through it. Instead, he took Benji home and continued his treatment. The Australian diplomat realized his dog is alive, and decided to sue the vet. Now Benji was taken home, the Australian Office in Taipei.
