A 21-year-old Taiwanese college student, surnamed Sung (宋), joined a Facebook group named Shiba Inu and added one of the members Wang Hsiao-hoa (王小豪) as a friend on Facebook. Wang then sent her a message, saying someone hacked her facebook password and that he could offer to help. He first asked her to upload hundreds of pictures from her computer and phone to LINE test system and later asked her to upload topless pictures.
Sung turned to her friend and they soon realized it was a scam trick. She posted the entire occurrence on Facebook to remind her friends to be alert but found several other victims as well.
Sung soon called the police. The police warn netizens not to readily believe any emails from anyone that claim themselves as official accounts and that never reveal passwords to others and change passwords regulary.
Hacking other accounts and emails is a criminal offense that can be sentenced up to three years.
