Jay Leno and Sharon Osbourne? It's hard to believe, but the king of late night comedy and the wife of metal rocker Ozzy Osbourne once dated.
Sharon Osbourne made the revelation on The Talk, spilling the beans that her and Leno had a relationship a long time ago. According to Osbourne, she met Leno shortly after moving to the United States. She would have been about 25 years old at the time. Osbourne is 60 (and Leno is 63). So this means they likely dated in 1978.
Osbourne says she first saw Leno performing at a comedy club. She later pranked called him with a friend. He probably liked her fruity British accent and the two hit it off.
She said on the show: "He came to my house and met me and then we had a little fling. The fling was more fling for me and not fling enough for him."
But Leno and Osbourne didn't last and soon enough the comedian had met someone else. According to Osbourne, this woman was the real love of Leno's life and the three of them would go to Fat Burger and see the sights around town.
Osbourne didn't identify her by name, but Jay Leno has been married to his wife, Mavis, since 1980.
Sharon (when she was Sharon Arden) had known Ozzy Osbourne before she met Jay Leno. She met him at the age of 18 because her father, Don Arden, was a Black Sabbath manager. Sharon managed Osbourne's solo career after he left the group and the two married in 1982.
