This is a fine old craft I learned from my family. Its called toothbrush rug or toothbrush handle rugs because the needle is an old flat handled toothbrush with the head chopped off and the remainder sharpened to a point. Its fun, its easy, its a great way to "recycle" old clothes, shopping bags, hose into a beautiful rug which will last DECADES.
This particular rug is predominantly made up of clothing my wife and I wore during our courting 12+ years ago, so it has great sentimental value along with great beauty.
I'm in the process of developing tutorials about this great craft, so this was an experimental video. I also had to do something while waiting to see if my wife Tess would be hospitalized for migraines.
