Daughter films parents getting bashed in Spanish supermarket (VIDEO)

The pain in Spain: A good bashing — that's what security guards at the Carrefour supermarket in the Spanish seaside town of Torrevieja handed to a French family holidaying there over Christmas.
The vicious assault began after the couple says store security falsely accused them of stealing and responded to their pleas of innocence with fists of fury. The video was filmed by the couple's young daughter on her phone.
The family's outing went south while checking out. An alarm designed to detect shoplifting sounded and the cashier summoned security — two men who didn't believe the couple's claim they'd stolen nothing.
The security staff forced the pair to walk through security, gates which remained silent. Unconvinced, the men bundled them into a room where the couple claims they were spat before the guards began roughing the pair up and -- as can be seen in the video -- striking the woman several times.
As their young son wailed, their young daughter armed with a smartphone began filming the commotion, during which the father says he was strangled and in fear of his life.
Little else is known about the video and the couple's claims have not been verified.
What is known is that they were both hospitalized after the ordeal and lodged a complaint with local police, according to Spanish paper El Mundo. Carrefour has sought an explanation from contractor which handles store security.
