Justin Bieber raid: egg throwing leads to drug bust, Lil Za arrested

Pop superstar Justin Bieber's California home was raided by police on Tuesday (January 14) morning.
Officers searched the premises after a judge signed a warrant authorizing the raid, which was prompted by an incident on Thursday during which the singer and several friends launched an "egg attack" on a neighbor's home.
The neighbors called police to allege that the "egging" had caused some US$20,000 worth of damage to their property. In relation to the egg throwing incident, police obtained a warrant to search Bieber's home in an exclusive gated community in Calabasas, California.
When cops arrived, they took the eight people that were in the home into the basement while officers searched the house. According to police, they found "illegal substances" in plain view. Reports initially claimed the substance was cocaine, but TMZ later claimed the drug was instead "molly," or powdered MDMA--better known as 'ecstasy.'
Bieber's representatives say the singer had nothing to do with the drugs found at his house, and for some reason, it appears cops have accepted this version as they only arrested one individual, a young aspiring rapper who goes by the name Lil Za (real name Xavier Smith).
Later, however, an L.A. Sheriff's Department official said the singer 'had not been arrested nor exonerated' in the egging casem, but it appears that for now, the singer will not be facing charges in connection to the illegal substances.
The local sheriff's office spokesperson said they understood that some might think "egging" is a trivial matter, but he noted that none-the-less, the incident did rise to the level of felony damage charges.
