It was meant to be the casting coup of the year. The formidable Big B and the perky Parineeti Chopra as father-and-daughter in Shoojit Sircar’s Piku, an emotional drama on filial bonding replicating the nuanced emotional powers of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s cinema.
Now Parineeti didn’t want to do another movie on similar lines, so she turned down the film. Her loss was Deepika Padukone’s gain and we all know the fate Daawat-E-Ishq met at the Box office.
Considering all this, don’t you think Piku could have been a game changer for Parineeti? Why is Kareena acting so pricey? Whatever the reason, we hope she has an alternate career option ready coz as we know B-town isn’t very generous to those who reject offers. What say peeps?
