A two-year-old Taiwanese girl named Chichi was born with bathing trunk nevus (Giant Congenital Melanocytic Nevi), which quickly spread from the left side of her face, upper back, and two legs to most parts of her right arm, covering 10 percent of her body.
Melanocytic nevus disrupted the formation of Chichi's sweat glands within the nevus and causes her skin to crust over and itch.
Chichi's father said he was hesitant and felt lost when he first saw his daughter. However, maintains hope with plans to arrange plastic surgery for Chichi when she gets older.
Chichi's parent's have set up a Facebook page to share their experience with parents whose children suffer from the same syndrome.
