A man surnamed Wang squeezed his girlfriend into a suitcase because she wanted to dump him.
The woman, surnamed Mu, decided to break up with her boyfriend after a quarrel. He cajoled her to a hotel room on June 15 and then tied her up, before stuffing the 5.33 ft. tall victim into a suitcase.
He then rented a limo, intending to take her on a 1,700km journey from Xi'an to Liaoning Province in north-eastern China.
After leaving the hotel the driver heard strange sounds coming from the suitcase. He asked the client to open it and found the woman inside. The driver called the police after Wang agreed to release her.
Wang was arrested when he arrived at his hometown, police then took him back to Xi'an.
