An airport police officer in Taiwan's capital was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly repeatedly sexually assaulting his girlfriend's two young daughters.
The Taipei-based officer, identified by local reports only by his surname, Lai, began living his girlfriend and her two daughters three years ago.
On multiple occasions, when his girlfriend was not at home, the 44-year-old assaulted her 14-year-old and 11-year-old daughters and threatened them not to tell their mother.
Lai's actions were reported to police on July 1st after the girls finally told family members.
The officer denied the accusations, but was arrested and charged with sexual assault.
