Murderer Saulat Mirza executed in Machh Jail

Pakistan’s notorious target killer Saulat Ali Khan alias Saulat Mirza was finally hanged to death in Balochistan’s Mach Jail after a final medical examination early Tuesday morning, ARY News reported.
Strict security measures were undertaken in and around the jail premises to avert any untoward incident before the high-profile prisoner is executed. Saulat Mirza was convicted of killing former Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) managing director Shahid Hamid, his driver and guard in 1997.
Mirza’s hanging was supervised by Magistrate Hidayatullah.
The murderer’s family held last meeting with him in the jail on Monday.
Saulat Mirza in his video statement in March (hours before his planned execution) claimed that he killed the KESC MD on direct orders form Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain.
