The terrorist group is parading images of babies born with one eye due to fatal deformities in order to garner support from Islamic fanatics. They believe this to be proof that the Dajjal — or false messiah — has been born.
The Quran states this false messiah will appear somewhere between Syria and Iran, and ISIS is using this to justify its claim to the territory it currently controls in Syria and Iraq as a way to build an army of jihadists to fight this “fake prophet and his army.”
The videos being used, however, are of babies born around 2006 and 2008 who suffered from an extremely rare defect known as cyclopia.
The babies were born in India and Bolivia, far from the Middle East, and both died soon after their births.
