Suicide fail: This man can’t kill himself even after shooting himself in the face

On the evening of November 3 a wanted man was spotted by police in the Banqiao area of Taipei city. He allegedly came out of hiding to leave his beloved cat with an old junior high school classmate.
When he noticed police following him he produced a gun, fired a few shots at the cops and fled. Then he lead the police on a merry chase through the west end of Taipei city. The chase finally ended when the man holed himself up in the bathroom of this outlet clothing store and aimed the gun at his own face.
He fired a single shot into his head, entering under the left side of his jaw and exiting through his right eye. Unfortunately for his face, he failed to kill himself and was rushed to hospital. Surgeons were able to stabilize him and he is currently under police security in the ICU.
I guess questioning will begin when the doctors have repaired his jaw and face enough for him to speak.
