Real life Breaking Bad: Baker smokes meth, works 24-hour days to pay off his family debt

A Taiwanese baker was arrested on drug charges. Police later discovered a twist motivation behind his crime.

The 36-year-old baker surnamed Wu from Taipei, Taiwan was gifted with some serious bread making skills. However, he wasn’t so lucky when it came to the character of his siblings. His elder brother is in jail and his older sister dumped a $6,500 US debt on the family before leaving.

To avoid seeing his mother being devastated about the family on the decline, Wu made it his duty to provide for her. He started working three jobs, sometimes 24 hours a day to pay the bills and his sister’s debt. He would smoke meth-amphetamine to keep himself awake if he felt tired or sleepy.

Despite his nobel reasoning for smoking the crystal, Wu is still being charged.
