A California volunteer football coach was arrested Thursday night after multiple students came forward accusing him of sexual assault, according to a CBS Los Angeles report.
At least one of coach Jaime Jimenez's victims was as young as 14, the report says citing police.
Jimenez had been a coach at Franklin High School in Highland Park since 1998. School district officials relieved him of his volunteer position following the accusations and his arrest.
Local reports appear to indicate Jimenez had been up to his sleazy activities for some time, citing LA police detectives who said they believe some of the 46-year-old's alleged victims may now be adults and are urging them to come forward.
"He was very disciplined with us," a student told local station ABC-7. "It's quite shocking. No one expected that from him."
Other reports included similar reactions, with one student, who'd once trained under Jimenez, noting the now-former teacher was a "good guy".
"It's really unfortunate when someone who's in that kind of position as a role model becomes close with the students to gain their trust and then victimizes them," LAPD Officer Jane Kim told NBC Los Angeles.
Jimenez is currently being held on a $450,000 bail.
