The inspiration for the trend comes from Japanese anime, or cartoons, specifically, from the character “Hestia” of the anime series “It’s Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon” — and yes, that’s really the name of the show.
Hestia has a distinctive torso with ribbons tied under her ample bosoms and the look has caught on. The ribbon is tied with a bow under the breasts, then each time you lift your arms, your assets are likewise uplifted. Like it?
