A furry four legged koala was caught on security cameras wandering into an an emergency ward of an Australian hospital.
Security camera footage of a koala strolling into the unhindered emergency ward of Hamilton Base Hospital emergency ward has gone viral, Reuters reports.
The cameras captured the little koala, an Australian native marsupial, walking into the emergency doors without anyone noticing.
After scoping out the waiting room, the adorable little animal strolled back out of the electronic doors.
"We think this little chap has come from the park across the road," Brigid Kelly, the hospital's community liaison officer, told Reuters.
The koala's meanderings have become a social media hit, with thousands of likes via Facebook. Kelly said it was the first time the hospital had received such a visit. "Even the 'likes' and comments on Facebook have blown us away," BBC reports.
A Facebook user jokingly commented if the animal came into a US hospital, “ It'd be charged $500 for just walking in the door!"
