This is Mitsu Dan, age 34, a Japanese pin up idol and actress. She recently wore a broach during a TV show on Japan’s Constitution Day. The broach symbolically supports Japan’s pacifist constitution.
Mitsu Dan rose to popularity in 2013 following the release of a an SM movie called “Be My Slave.”
The broach’s motif is a mix of the universal nuclear disarmament sign, and the number nine, which may indicate the constitution’s Article 9, which prohibits war.
In recent years, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s political party, the Liberal Democratic Party, has been pushing to revise the article.
Mitsu Dan, herself, has not made any references or comments on the broach. A representative says that it was merely a fashion choice made by the stylist who dressed the celebrity.
