Tuluyan nang ipinatigil ng Supreme Court (SC) ang upgrading at repair ng may 80,000 Precinct Count Optical Scanning (PCOS) machines na gagamitin sa halalan sa 2016. Ito'y matapos na ipawalang bisa ng SC ang extended warranty contract ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) at ng Smartmatic-TIM nang dahil sa kawalan ng public bidding.
